Colonist is meticulously shaped by hand in steel, beginning with raw plates and bar rather than cast components. Once shaped, the sculpture is finished in a refined zinc patina, selected for its understated sophistication and remarkable durability. Colonist was created as part of a Christmas collaboration at Chartwell House, the much-loved home of Winston Churchill in the South East of England.
