Inspired by the fluid elegance of wind and water, our Sail Sculptures are a striking celebration of movement, freedom, and contemporary craftsmanship. Hand-forged in steel at our countryside studio, each sculpture features sweeping curves and tapered lines that evoke the billowing form of a sail at full wind.
Designed to capture light and shadow from every angle, these pieces bring a dynamic yet calming presence to both coastal and inland settings. Available in a range of finishes — including galvanised, verdigris, rustic, and gold — the Sail Sculptures make a bold, sculptural statement in gardens, courtyards, or modern architectural landscapes. A timeless tribute to motion, nature, and British artistry.

In bronze, the sculpture may be finished in Verdigris Bronze, Traditional Dark Bronze, or Polished Bronze, each individually patinated and hand-finished to bring warmth, depth, and a tactile richness to the surface.

Our Interior Pieces: Discreetly SublimeEach interior sculpture is crafted with the same meticulous attention to detail as our larger exterior works. The process begins in the same way — with simple, old-fashioned pencil to paper, where Charles’s ideas start to take shape. A hand-drawn sketch in Charles’s studio captures the sculpture’s movement, character, and lifelike qualities before sizes, measurements, and dimensions are established.
This sketch is then transferred onto a bench plate using artist’s chalk, where it can remain for up to a week as Charles refines, edits, and perfects the design. If parts need to be cut from mild steel sheets, Charles creates and uploads the artwork for cutting, either by handheld plasma or CNC table. Each piece is then fettled, textured if necessary, and edges softened before assembly.
This is truly when the sculpture begins to come alive — as Charles carefully places each piece together. Once assembled, finer details like the curve of a sail are added using our 1930s roller, bringing an extra touch of life to the artwork. All interior pieces are mounted on bases made from thicker mild steel sheet to ensure stability.
