Planting changes. Borders are lifted and replanted, trees come down, fashions in garden design pass. The sculpture stays.
A well-sited piece gives a garden its centre. It draws the eye down a lawn, closes a vista, holds the far end of a walk, or sits among grasses and reveals itself only as you come round the corner. It gives the space somewhere to arrive.
Which is why placement matters as much as the piece itself. We would far rather walk the ground with you and watch how the light moves across it than sell you something from a photograph.
You are buying the sculptor, not a catalogue.
Most garden sculpture at this level is sold from a brochure by a company. This is a working studio, and the person who designs your piece is the person who makes it and the person who puts it in the ground.

Charles answers enquiries himself, works on every piece and is on site at installation. No account manager between you and the artist.

Four steps, start to finish.
- Tell us about the space. A photograph and a rough idea of scale is enough to start. Charles replies personally, usually within a working day.
- Visit the studio, or we visit you. See the work in person and talk it through. For larger pieces we will come and walk the garden with you.
- Choose or adapt. Take a piece as it stands, or have it made at a different size, in a different metal, or with a different finish. Samples sent before anything is committed.
- Delivered and installed. By us, worldwide, fully insured, with foundations handled. Care notes on the day, and we come back to service the piece.
Pieces from the collection start in the hundreds. Larger garden work runs into the thousands, and private commissions in bronze begin around £25,000. Every project value is treated in confidence.

Can I visit and see the work before deciding?
Yes, and we would encourage it. The studio and gallery at Wolds Farm in Tring is open by appointment. You can see finished pieces, watch work being made, and talk it through with Charles himself.
Will you come and look at my garden?
For larger pieces and commissions, yes. Siting is half the result, and photographs rarely tell the whole story about levels, light and sightlines.
Can a design be made larger, or in a different finish?
Almost always. Most designs can be scaled and finished to suit the setting, in steel or bronze and across a range of patinas. It is the quickest route to a piece that feels made for the place.
How is it delivered and installed?
By us. The studio handles logistics, craneage where needed, foundations guidance and installation, in the UK and worldwide, fully insured.
How do I look after it?
Bronze and steel are made to weather. We provide patina and maintenance guidance on handover so the piece ages exactly as intended, and we can return to service it.
Do you work with garden designers and landscape architects?
Regularly, and we prefer to be involved early. Trade and design partners have access to preferential pricing, scale models, finish samples and technical guidance including foundations and installation requirements.
