One of our most illustrious creations — the Beech Sphere Sculpture. A pure celebration of nature captured in exquisite art form. The journey begins the old-fashioned way: pencil to paper. Charles hand-draws each intricate design in his studio, shaping the sphere’s details and overall vision before defining sizes, measurements, and dimensions.
Once satisfied, the “hanging basket” style mold frames are secured onto the foot plate, ready for the careful assembly of each hand-textured beech leaf. Each leaf is meticulously cut in a variety of sizes, then heated to extraordinary temperatures. Using a special mold and press, the team stamps in the delicate leaf veins one by one. While still glowing hot, the pieces are fine-tuned on the anvil, shaped precisely to fit the design, and then gently placed around the mold, gradually forming the flawless spherical shape.
To ensure perfect symmetry, the sphere is crafted in two halves. These are lifted from the mold frames and carefully welded and infilled once joined. After full assembly and approval by the team, the sculpture undergoes a thorough sandblasting process, delivering an immaculate finish regardless of the chosen patina.
Our spheres are available in a luxurious rustic patina, developing a stunning golden-orange hue over time, or in hot-dip galvanised finish, providing a lifetime of protection with a sleek silvery-grey appearance. For those seeking a personal touch, we also offer full powder coating in any RAL colour, allowing you to customize your sculpture’s finish. With a variety of sizes, patterns, and finishes to choose from, the Beech Sphere Sculpture is a standout feature, perfect for elevating any garden or outdoor space with timeless elegance.

The sculpture is available in three considered sizes: 100 cm, 150 cm, and 200 cm (approximately 39 in, 59 in, and 79 in).
Each scale offers a distinct sense of presence while preserving the integrity and balance of the form.
Bespoke dimensions may also be commissioned, including 65 cm (approximately 26 in) and 125 cm (approximately 49 in), with further custom sizing available upon request.
Available in oxidised steel patina, as shown, where the surface is protected from within and permitted to develop a quiet, architectural patination through exposure to the elements.
Alternatively, the sculpture may be offered with an hot dipped zinc finish, or professionally painted patinations in a refined palette of colours, including tonal, metallic, and luxury surface treatments. Each patination is chosen for its longevity, depth, and ability to weather with grace.

We offer a low-voltage LED uplighter for your sculpture, available in warm white (3000K) or cool white options. Our IP68-rated brushed stainless steel light is supplied with a dimmable driver and includes a 12-month standard warranty, with a 7-year manufacturer’s warranty when registered online.
We’re happy to work alongside your electrician to find the best solution for power supply and installation. Additional lighting designs are available upon request, depending on the desired visual effect.
